OpenAI launched its new “agent mode” (also called ChatGPT Agent) on July 17, 2025. You can just toggle “agent mode” in ChatGPT’s tools menu to activate it—no regional tricks required.

But it’s not available everywhere. At launch, it’s accessible to subscribers on the Pro, Plus, and Team plans in all regions except the European Union users will have to wait.

At launch on July 17, 2025:

Pro users get immediate access with up to 400 agent messages per month.

Plus and Team users will see it “over the next few days,” with 40 messages per month, plus the option to buy extra

Enterprise and Education subscriptions will be added later this summer
