The article explores how faculty experts at Virginia Tech view the growing impact of AI—highlighting its potential to improve accessibility, productivity, and decision-making across fields like healthcare, construction, and aerospace. However, they also raise concerns about data bias, reduced critical thinking, job displacement, and AI’s carbon footprint. Ethical risks include the loss of genuine human connection, privacy breaches, and the potential for AI-powered propaganda. Despite these challenges, experts emphasize that AI should be developed responsibly and used to augment, not replace, human judgment. Ultimately, AI’s future depends on transparent design, inclusion, and meaningful human oversight.eng.vt.edu

I agree. When we develop an app by writing the code ourselves, we gain a precise understanding of how it works. However, this traditional approach can be time-consuming. On the other hand, AI-powered no-code tools allow us to build applications in a fraction of the time, but I’m concerned about potential security risks.
